1 hour? prehaps that could explain the fairly badly designed sounds, they sound muddy and unmixed, the track has potential, but ultimately fails at sound design, arrangement, nice chords and and having any actual effort put into it. I believe you can do better than this

C211 responds:

Will tell you in advance that he made in haste and I did not make any effort to this song, everyone has their own opinion about the song, so I'm gonna consider, yet I haven't DJ :(

concept is cool, the sounds you chose to use sound extremely cheap and fake, and that kinda kills the whole mood of the track

Faxulably responds:

Yeah maybe you're right in that but this is hard to remix because it was not intended to be a non-8bit soundtrack, so that makes troubles to make it.

you have great potential, let me tell you. your supersaws are really clean, I cant seem to grasp them that well but you clearly have, the lead melody is pretty catchy, there could be more of a break between the verse and the build., and the drop has too much background noise, makes the basses less impacting, however, an impressive level up from last time, good job

QuartzoneTunes responds:

Thanks :D

pretty good, I loved the intro, very well done in that respect, imo the name is *yandere* but doesnt really have that much of a creepy aspect

it could be a lot better, with a lot more things included, such as pads, sweeps, up and down lifters, more percussion, you get the idea. I can tell you havent been producing for long with this song, as it sounds quite mediocre (not trying to be rude, it's a phase we all have to go through)

one last criticism, you used a *lot* of that fill sample, which is blatantly cymatics, you can just tell, it's from the terror pack I believe, but dont hold me to that, and when you can tell a sample that's just straight from a pack, you question if you actually made the basses or if you went and got a sample or preset to do the work for you, which again, is okay while you're learning, but is regarded as bad to do it all the time, kind of thing

aaaand I have to ask, do you have discord or any other social media I can contact you via? that would be cool ^-^

QuartzoneTunes responds:

Yap, instagram: ivivarelus_89 :D

And yes, It maybe sounds a bit weak, i suppose that's because i have been only producing for about a year :)

I'm confused. if you're so confident that its not up to standards with the original, why would you upload it?

AlienNinjaGD responds:

IDK. I just wanted to make and upload this because I love the original song, and I'm sure @Killer-FX should be more famous, coz he's a talented musician!

question, why did you use pads for the drop instead of basses? bit of a weird decision if you ask me

CyniR responds:

This is an older track. Didn't know how to make drops very well.

nice name, nice song, very ambient and distant sounding, it's actually quite sad lol, it's as if it tells a story

SharpenedSwords responds:

Thanks man!

the transitions arent that good, it's like it changes into a different song with each segment. the intro, verse, build, drop, all completley unrelated to one another, however, while the mixing is, well, terrible, and the limiting is painfully long on the release, making that warpy effect when things get too loud. and also, use pitch bend to make the buildup get higher pitched, not actually dragging the notes in the playlist, as it makes it smoother doing it with a bend of one octave.

A recurring problem I find you to have is that you don know when things get a bit too high on the frequency scale, and those 1/32 saw arps you added only cut out because they completely leave the frequency range that humans can hear, meaning that your songs have an excess of frequencies so high, that you'd probably trigger a whole dog pound if someone walked past listening to it.

AlienNinjaGD responds:

Thanks for your advices!

this ones okay, I guess, but dude, you need to make leads and not just saw waves, they're painful and they don't leave you throughout the whole track. the intro was cool but there was too much sustain on the bass notes, they should be more plucky. the chord progression is pretty good, not going to lie, but you cant hear the drums which cut out pretty much all the tension. If you're not going to sidechain you might aswell not even add drums.

AlienNinjaGD responds:

Yeah, maybe adding some more pluck on the intro will make it better. Thanks!

the sound design is really basic, it's just a sawtooth wave with reverb and it's ear piercingly painful to listen to, the drums get drowned it by it, theres, no sidechain at all, the drop is interesting, but again, badly mixed, painful to listen to and off key in some parts, and afterwards, it just goes on and on, and even after it ends the ringing in your ears stays as you adjust to not havin a loud saw wave down your ear for almost four minutes

AlienNinjaGD responds:

The idea of this remix was to be with simple sound and track design, that's why the drop is not with chords and there's not a sidechain. Thanks for the other advices!

Dubstep pretty wack
